Avalon Marshes in November

Here we are in November and how lucky we were to have had some remarkably good weather for photography at the begining of the month. I am sure I was not the only one to make the most of those few glorious hours. A few days after I took these images I underwent surgery and then heavy rain came. It’s giving me such a boost to take another look at these images. The flooding has lead to the closure of Avalon hide. Again, I feel so very fortunate to have been able to visit that hide and see these beautiful birds whilst able.

The first series of images were taken on Shapwick Heath and Noah’s Hide.

This second series were taken from Avalon Hide.

The remainder, and the header image, were taken at Catcott Lows.
