Natural Park of El Fondo

Black winged stilt, glossy ibis, black tailed godwit, marsh harrier, red knobbed coot, black redstart and snipe, are just a few of the birds that inhabit the lagoons of the Natural Park of El Fondo. Booted eagle can often be seen overhead. We spent 3 glorious days here in February 2023 walking around this vast natural park. The black winged stilt are just the most extraordinarily elegant wader and have to be one of my favourite birds.
